SEO-IAT Celebrates Serving 100th Child

Southeastern Ohio Interdisciplinary Team Celebrates Achievement

IPAC would like to congratulate the Southeastern Ohio Interdisciplinary Assessment Team (SEO-IAT) on reaching a huge milestone of serving their 100th child! The SEO-IAT is a team of professionals started by the Integrating Professionals of Appalachian Children (IPAC), collaborating together since 2008, who specialize in young child health and wellness.

The goal of the team has been to provide diagnostic assessments for children age birth to 8 who have developmental concerns. The team approach allows collaboration among different disciplines at the same assessment. Typically children are seen over two visits and then the family returns to a feedback session. Children are referred into the clinic by the Family Navigator program, also established by IPAC. The team meets families on the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Ohio University Hearing, Speech & Language Clinic in Grover Center.

Currently the team consists of a developmental pediatrician and clinical child psychologist from Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a speech-language pathologist and audiologist from the Ohio University Hearing, Speech and Language Clinic, and a family navigator from the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. To schedule an appointment, contact Family Navigator Sue Meeks at (740) 593-9534.
