IPAC To Host Facilitation Training Event in February
IPAC will be hosting a free one-day professional facilitation training event Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the large conference room of the Nelsonville Public Library, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
The event will focus on teaching participants what tools work best when managing particular groups, how to assess group dynamics, strategies for guiding decision-making, how to facilitate group discussion, among other applicable skills.
The event will be taught by Becky Nesbitt and Treva Williams. Nesbitt is an Assistant Professor with the Ohio State University Extension in Jackson County, Ohio. She specializes in organizational capacity building with expertise in strategic planning, nonprofit board development and community assessment.
Treva Williams is an Educator of Family and Consumer Sciences with the Ohio State University Extensions in Lawrence and Scioto Counties, Ohio. Williams serves as Extension Director of these two counties and works with nonprofit agencies and organizations to facilitate strategic planning efforts through educational programming on leadership development, board development, and strategic planning.
Registration will run from January 4 to February 1 here. Space is limited to 20 participants. Lunch will be provided.
